3rd Annual Art Hop Gallery Show & Sale

The 3rd Annual Art Hop Gallery Show & Sale is scheduled for November 4, 2011 in Downtown Henderson from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.

This unique and wildly popular event is the perfect evening out as Tri-State artist display their wonderful original works of art for the community to view as well as purchase. We have 47 artist that will be found in ten different locations in downtown Henderson.

Halloween Parade – After Trick or Treating you are ALL invited to participate in the Halloween Parade starting at 5:00pm, corner of Third and Main Streets

 

 

Girls Night Out in Downtown Henderson

Grab your girlfriends and head to Downtown Henderson Thursday, October 20th for the first ever girls night out.  Planter’s Coffeehouse,  Classic Cut  and 14 downtown retailers will be keeping their doors open until 8:00 pm. Learn how to wear a scarf, dress for a holiday party or just enjoy a little retail therapy after a long day of work.  

After you are done shopping enjoy drink specials and live music by Adam Blythe at Rookies Sports Bar and Restaurant.

This event is also a benefit for the local elementary and middle schools weekend backpack club. The weekend backpack program is a program provided through the Family Resources Center to provide nutritious snacks to students whose families are struggling to meet their needs. FRC will identify students in need of assistance by consulting with teachers, staff and the Homeless program.  The FRC will then make contact with the family and gain consent for services. Every Friday a backpack will be filled with nutritious snack items to help many children make it through the weekend without going hungry.

A percentage of the sales on the day of October 20th will go to the backpack club.

6th Annual Community Yard Sale & Flea Market

 The Downtown Henderson Project’s 6th Annual Community Yard Sale & Flea Market is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th, 2011. The yard sale will be held in Central Park in Downtown Henderson.  This is a fundraiser to benefit the Downtown Henderson Project.

There  is a limited number of booths so reserve yours today.

15 x 20 Yard Sale Booth – Curbside – $50. $40 or $30 each, depending on location.

15 x 20 Flea Market Booth – $50 each – Interior of Park (Business license required).

15 x 20 Flea Market Booth with electricity – $60 each – Interior of Park

Flea market booths that have a valid business license (required by the City of Henderson) can be located inside Central Park. Yard Sale booths DO NOT require a business license but, must be located outside Central Park on the street. If you are a Flea Market vendor you may choose to be on the street and pay accordingly. Only the interior booths will have electrical service.

Booth space will be assigned Friday, October 7th from 5pm to 7pm. No early assignments, no refunds on booth rental and no rain date scheduled.

 There will be a food vendor TBJ’s Stroke of Soul on site.

Is your house just full of ugly furniture?

If the answer to this questions is “Yes” and you are not afraid for the world to see how bad it really is then Alles Brothers in Downtown Henderson has a contest for you!

Alles Brothers Furniture Company has teamed up with WKDQ and KISS – FM to help the Tri- State by offering a $500 store credit to be used on furniture for your home. Only 2 lucky families can win the prize.

To enter, all you need to do is submit a picture of your ugly furniture along with a short paragraph on why you think you should win this giveaway. Only 1 entry is allowed and the deadline is September 30, 2011 at 10:59pm. These pictures will then be voted on and the winners will be announced on October 1st between 11:00am and 1:00pm at Alles Brothers, 219 First Street Henderson, KY 42420.
