The Main Street Approach:
Promotion ~ Main Street focuses on selling the image and unique characterisitcs to shoppers, investors, visitors and new businesses. An effective promotion strategy forges a positive image of the district through advertising, retail promotional activity, marketing campaigns and special events held in downtown.
Organization ~ Establishes concensus and coorperation by building partnerships among groups that have a stake in the commercial / business district.
Design ~ Getting Main Street into top physical shape. Capitalizing on its best assets – such as historic buildings and traditional downtown layout.
Economic Restructuring ~ This committee focuses on improving the economic climate of downtown. It involves helping existing businesses expand and recruiting new ones for the changing market.
