We Are 12

Laura Peck —  May 9, 2012

To show appreciation and support for the Henderson County Schools We Are 12 Campaign, downtown Henderson retail shops and restaurants are offering a 12% discount to all Henderson County School employees on the 12th day of  May.

“The Downtown Henderson Project and the downtown merchants are pleased to work with the Henderson County School System to promote the We Are 12 Campaign. The downtown merchants are wonderful supporters of the Henderson County School System as well as other community youth programs.

With the Henderson County School System being one of the largest employers in our community, to have the staff members shop with our merchants can be a huge benefit not only to our stores but also to the employees. This will be an opportunity for staff members to rediscover the great shops we have in our own downtown.” said Beth Strawn, Executive Director for Downtown Henderson Project.

The Downtown Henderson Project is a Main Street Organization that works to promote, improve and preserve the unique character and economic vitality of Downtown Henderson.

“This is a great opportunity for our local businesses to partner with the Henderson County School System.  We are very appreciative of their continued support.  It is our hope that our staff members take advantage of this opportunity (12% discount) and in return show their appreciation and support of these businesses,” said Cindy Williams, Henderson County Schools Community Outreach Coordinator.
