Grab your girlfriends and head to Downtown Henderson Thursday, October 20th for the first ever girls night out.  Planter’s Coffeehouse,  Classic Cut  and 14 downtown retailers will be keeping their doors open until 8:00 pm. Learn how to wear a scarf, dress for a holiday party or just enjoy a little retail therapy after a long day of work.

After you are done shopping enjoy drink specials and live music by Adam Blythe at Rookies Sports Bar and Restaurant.

This event is also a benefit for the local elementary and middle schools weekend backpack club. The weekend backpack program is a program provided through the Family Resources Center to provide nutritious snacks to students whose families are struggling to meet their needs. FRC will identify students in need of assistance by consulting with teachers, staff and the Homeless program.  The FRC will then make contact with the family and gain consent for services. Every Friday a backpack will be filled with nutritious snack items to help many children make it through the weekend without going hungry.

A percentage of the sales on the day of October 20th will go to the backpack club.

Please come out and support our local businesses and the FRC weekend backpack program.
