Abby Dixon will begin her role as executive director of the Downtown Henderson Partnership on Nov. 14. She currently serves as Director of Marketing & Communications at the Southwest Indiana Chamber in Evansville, Ind.
Dixon was raised in Benton, Ky. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in mass communications and a minor in marketing from Western Kentucky University in 2011. Having moved to the area in early 2015 from Nashville, Tenn., Dixon is building strong roots and is proud to call Henderson home.
During her tenure with the Southwest Indiana Chamber, Dixon led the application process that earned the organization the 2016 Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives National Chamber of the Year award, planned and executed a membership campaign that yielded 406 new members, and directed the Chamber’s Tri-State Manufacturers’ Alliance in addition to all things branding, marketing, and communications.
“We are thrilled and excited Abby will be joining our organization. Her enthusiasm about living and working in Henderson speaks volumes! She has great ideas and passion to do great things in our community.” says Jayme Floyd, DHP Executive Board Member
Dixon currently serves as a board member for Girl Scouts of Southwestern Indiana, is a Henderson Rotaract member, and is a Junior Achievement classroom volunteer.
In her spare time, she enjoys boating, traveling, and all things crafty with her husband, Evan, and their two dogs, Tripoli and Sophie.
